In this Privacy Statement, we explain how and why Technische Unie, in its capacity as a controller, collects and uses personal data.

Technische Unie is authorised to process personal data for this because it is necessary for the implementation of the agreement with customers or suppliers.

- Direct Marketing
Technische Unie processes personal data for (direct) marketing purposes. This allows Technische Unie to understand how our services are used in order to ensure and improve performance and to contact customers and bring new products to their attention or to send them newsletters. Technische Unie may process personal data for this on the basis of a legitimate interest of Technische Unie, Sonepar headquarters acting as the data controller or another member of the Sonepar group to conduct market research for the benefit of its business operations and to develop and improve products. You can object to this processing based on your personal circumstances.
- Prevention of fraud and non-payment
Technische Unie processes personal data for the purpose of combating fraud and non-payment, by carrying out creditworthiness checks, among other things.
In view of the above, Technische Unie processes the following personal data: Name and address details, names of contact persons, bank details, document numbers of passports or ID cards, payment obligations of the relevant customer of Technische Unie, signed financial letters.
Technische Unie may process personal data for this because it has a legitimate interest to combat fraud and prevent non-payment. You can object to this processing based on your personal circumstances.
- To comply with legal requirements
Technische Unie processes personal data for compliances purposes. For this purpose Technische Unie may process the following personal data: Name and address details, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and bank details.
